A December to Remember Daytona Beach is Back! New this year is a Sand Sculpture Trail featuring the award-winning artwork of Grand Master Sculptor Suzanne Altamare. Beginning November 30 during this holiday season, visitors and residents will be invited to use a map to visit business locations to view Altamare’s holiday sand artwork. The trail will feature a large presentation at the Glenn Ritchey Plaza at the Oceanfront Bandshell. Altamare will also be leading sand sculpting lessons prior to the amateur sand sculpture contest on the beach.
Times for this month-long event will be Saturdays 12 Noon – 8:15pm and Sundays 12 Noon – 6pm plus some weekdays through January 2. The historic Daytona Beach Oceanfront Bandshell, The Daytona Beach Boardwalk and Ocean Walk Shoppes will be the hub for this event. “A December to Remember Daytona Beach” will also feature a variety of Tribute Bands followed by a fireworks display every Saturday between the dates of December 5 and January 2. Other activities include arts & crafts vendors, food by Backyard Boys Barbecue, choo-choo train rides on the Boardwalk Express down to Joyland Train Station, a sand play area and lessons, Reindeer Scavenger Hunt, radio remote control cars, face painting, inflatables and much more. While you’re there, check out the Sand Blaster Roller Coaster, go carts and iconic arcades.

This scenic amphitheater is located in Oceanfront Park on the north end of the Boardwalk amusement area and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. It hosts regular free concerts for the residents of Daytona Beach and its visitors. Built of coquina in 1937, the Bandshell can host 5,000 people for concerts, outdoor weddings, receptions, events or group activities.
You can enter the Bandshell through the Ocean Walk Village from A1A or the overpass from the parking garage.
