Bandshell Frequently Asked Questions

For the safety and comfort of the patrons attending Bandshell events:

Please review our Social Distancing Protocols before arriving to the Bandshell concerts.

  • Guests are required to wear face coverings when in the bandshell.
  • Guests are required to complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire before entering the bandshell.
  • Guests are required to have their temperature checked before entering the bandshell. Persons with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or greater will not be able to enter the bandshell.
  • Contact-less payments and “no touch” purchases will be made available to patrons in the bandshell.
  • Guests can no longer bring a personal chair.
  • All VIP and reserved seats must be purchased in groups of two.
    • Social distancing will be implemented in the VIP and reserved seating section by arranging chairs in groups of two, followed by two empty seats
  • NO SMOKING, VAPING, E-CIGARETTES

Second hand cigarette smoke and vape vapor are known health hazards. The density of people in a Bandshell performance creates a situation where non-smokers cannot escape a hazardous substance. Persons wishing to smoke or vape may go outside the Bandshell audience area and smoke or vape without imposing on others.

  • NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL

The Bandshell area is licensed by the State of Florida to allow sale and onsite consumption of alcohol beverages. As a licensee, the City has the legal obligation to control legal distribution and consumption of alcohol at the licensed premise.

  • NO GLASS CONTAINERS

Public safety requires avoidance of glass. The concerts occur in mostly warm weather. Flying glass or broken glass poses a hazard to people with minimal shoes (Flip Flops, etc.) or people in close proximity to whatever may cause glass to "fly" or break.

  • NO COOLERS

The audience space is compact. Coolers (of any size) create a logistic difficulty to allow people (not using a cooler) to sit comfortably and walk safely. Additionally, screening coolers to make sure they do not contain alcohol or glass containers create a significant problem to allowing a crowd of 3-5k to quickly enter and get to their free seat.

  • NO BACK PACKS

In addition to the issue with the coolers listed above, both coolers and back packs may be used to transport and conceal weapons. The "no cooler" and "no back pack" policy allows an additional layer of control to keep the crowd and the venue safe.

DUE TO COVID-19: PERSONAL CHAIRS ARE NOT PERMITTED

All seats are now reserved in the VIP section and outside of the VIP section and must be purchased in advance or on the day of the show at the Bandshell Box Office.

Please refer to our social distancing guidelines above for more details.
